Ribo – Oriental Dance Artist
Ribo started dancing at the age of 3 with classical ballet, followed by modern and contemporary jazz, then ballroom and latin dance in her youth.
She discovered the world of Oriental dance during her university studies in New Zealand, and instantly fell in love with the beautiful art.
Ribo has been passionately pursuing Egyptian bellydance ever since.
She has taken part in numerous festivals in New Zealand, France, Morocco, Turkey, Denmark and Japan, learning from master teachers of the world.
Ribo dances an Egyptian style as well as Oriental Fusion, as carefully and respectfully blends with various other dance forms, such as classical ballet, flamenco, latin etc. Particularly Japanese-Oriental Fusion allows her to link her Japanese origins with her love and respect for the arts of the Middle East. Notably, her unique creative Japanese fusion solidifies her as an iconic figure in Europe.
Ribo has been taking part in countless performances and video shoots.
Today, she performs all classical and modern style, folklore dances or fusion style in events such as festivals, weddings and artistic, cultural events all over the world.
Iconically in 2021, she was casted in “Bellydance Evolution” production organised by an American producer Jillina, a former leader of phenomenal performance group “Bellydance Superstar” .
In 2024, Ribo is invited as a fusion master teacher and a competition judge in the ODM festival in Spain.
